On September 18, 2026, the Council meeting of the World Traditional Medicine Forum was held at the Shenzhou Open University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Forum Chairman Dong Zhilin presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Xia Linjun delivered the work report of the second Council of the World Traditional Medicine Forum, comprehensively summarizing the Forum’s activities over the past three years, analyzing the challenges and shortcomings facing its development, and outlining the direction for future development.

Treasurer Dong Hong presented the financial report.

Attendees carefully reviewed and deliberated on both reports, subsequently approving the two reports unanimously.
Vice Chairman Tang Tiejun presided over the election of the third Council. Through a voting process, the third Council of the World Traditional Medicine Forum was formed. Attendees unanimously elected Dong Zhilin as Chairman, Lu Xin as Executive Chairman, and Liu Zhongliang as Executive Vice Chairman.
The meeting elected Chen Yemeng, Guo Chunbiao, Huang Baoguo, Harm Elsingga, Ramón María Calduch, Xia Linjun, Sun Rongrong, Tang Tiejun, Wang Wencheng, Wu Binjiang, Yang Yuyang, Zheng Qiming, and Zheng Jianhua as Vice Chairmen (listed in alphabetical order by surname pinyin). Chen Yemeng also serves as Secretary-General; Ren Tianrong and Shen Huijun serve as Deputy Secretaries-General; and Dong Hong serves as Treasurer.
Additionally, the meeting elected Xia Junhong as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, with Zeng Shizong and Xinyue Calduch serving as Vice Chairmen of the Supervisory Board.
The meeting also elected 62 individuals, including Cao Xue, as Executive Committee members; 141 individuals, including Bai Chun, as Standing Council members; and 121 individuals, including Asimu Husaiyin, as Council members. Together, these 347 individuals constitute the third Council of the World Traditional Medicine Forum.
During the discussion session, Council members spoke enthusiastically and openly, offering constructive suggestions regarding the Forum’s future development, organizational structure, and international exchange and cooperation. Ramón M. Calduch, Chen Yemeng, Wu Binjiang, Sun Rongrong, Cai Bin, Wang Zhongbin, Harm Elsingga, and others spoke in turn, offering suggestions for the further development of the forum based on their respective fields and practical experience.


The attendees expressed confidence in and high expectations for the future of the World Traditional Medicine Forum, pledging to work together to strengthen international exchange and cooperation and to play a more active role in the exchange, preservation, and development of traditional medicine.
