2nd World TCM & Acupuncture Forum

The 2nd World TCM Acupuncture Forum was successfully held in D.C

From March 31 to April 1, 2019, the SecondWorld TCM Acupuncture Forum was successfully held at the National 4-H ConferenceCenter in Washington, D.C. The forum was co-sponsored by the World TCM Forum, the American Alliance of Acupuncture and the World Federation of Acupuncture Societies. More than 200 representatives of Chinese medicine practitioners participated in the forum. They were from the United States, China, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Canad, and other countries.

Michelle Lau, the president of the American Alliance of Acupuncture, gave a welcome speech. Professor Fang Yigong from the ChinaAcademy of Chinese Medical Sciences gave a speech on behalf of Liu Baoyan, the chairman of the World Federation of Acupuncture Societies.  And Dong Zhilin, the president of the world TCM Forum, did a presentation regarding the status of global Chinese medicine development. The opening ceremony of the forum was co-hosted by Dr. Guo Chunbiao, the secretary general of the World TCM Forum, and Ms. Rose Hong, the anchor of the Chinese Channel TV.

Doctors and professors such as Lu Biao, Fang Yigong, Linda Hao, Wu Binjiang, and Zhao Ruanjin gave academic lectures, and more than 50 experts and scholars actively communicated in the two-day forum. Lily Qi, the State Delegate of the Maryland General Assembly attended the forum, delivered a speech in support of the development of Chinese medicine in American, and took a group photo with everyone. 

At the closing ceremony in the evening of April 1, Judy May Chu, the member of US House of Representatives, delivered an important speech on supporting the federal acupuncture insurance bill, which was highly praised by the attendees. Lu Xin, Executive Chairman of the World TCM Forum, made a concluding speech on the ceremony. Ms. Dong Hong, the members of the executive committee of the World TCM Forum, announced that the 3rd World TCM & Acupuncture Forum will be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on May8-9, 2020. And on behalf of the organizer, she introduced the basic information about the Netherlands and the preparations have been made for the next forum.

At the closing ceremony, America-born Chinese and local Chinese medicine practitioners presented a wonderful performance for this conference.
